I think the salvage operation will go much smoother than we can all imagine, If they patch the holes and pump it out and empty the contents then slide it off near the ledge the ship may just right itself using the ledge as a fulcrum. with all the techonlogy and engineers I think they should have to re float it in order for us to learn more about ship wrecks. I am sorry for such a disaster to strike during a time of everyones happiness. very sad for everyone involved. I feel for the ships crew that were just trying to give everyone a better time. god bless you all

It's good that the cruise lines are distributing press release explaining their safety policies but I don't think any of this is news to anyone that has cruised. I've observed first hand their procedures and read a lot after the Splendor accident about how cruise lines keep their passengers safe. Cruising is still the safest way to travel for me and my family.

I agree with Scott. Jerry Hamilton made a lot of sense. Though I was impressed that Jim Walker seemed to have a reasonable approach as well. Lawyers for both sides will see huge paydays from this tragedy. From this episode, its clear both sides will be well represented.

The media (and lawyers) reminds me of the V V Brown's song "Shark in the Water" as long as there is plenty to feed on they are not letting this go. Even if they get the facts wrong.

Good to see that Costa is committed to doing the right thing. There seems to be so much information out there and not all of it seems be based on facts. Thanks for posting the real story direct from Costa.

Jerry Hamilton's comments were great. I will continue to cruise with family and friends because cruising IS safe! The cruise industry is NOT "disaster-prone" as some have said!
