Jacksonville, Fla. (December 15, 2009) – Cruise enthusiasts can now get advice, tips, ship reviews and trends on the first ever FM radio cruise show, “Cruise Radio.” Cruise Radio launches Sunday morning, January 3, 2010 and will air 7:30-8:00 am on Sunny 94.1 WSOS, St. Augustine, Florida.

On-air personality Doug Parker has created the first independent cruise radio show to fulfill the needs of consumers seeking an interactive medium for getting the latest news and insider’s tips from cruise experts.

Parker, who works at a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida, says “I keep encountering people in their 20’s and 30’s who bypass cruising because they think it’s too expensive, too old and too confining.  The newest interactive mediums can bridge these misconceptions by giving people a more in-depth intimate look at the reality of cruising.”

Each Sunday morning, Parker along with co-host/Producer Matt Basford and their onboard guests will give the latest cruising industry news, port information, insider’s advice on topics ranging from tipping to getting the best bargains plus cruise ship reviews.   Listeners are invited to submit questions and story ideas to the panel of experts, who will focus on these topics, will be discussed in upcoming shows.

Parker’s website, CruiseRadio.net includes a forum and a video library with Parker’s interviews from a variety of ports of call, port hotel reviews and cruise industry news. The website also has 14 episodes of Cruise Radio archived which can be played on demand.

To stay completely connected to the cruise world, cruisers are encouraged to sign up for the monthly newsletter at CruiseRadio.net .
