Princess Cruises has won four honors from Porthole Cruise Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2016. The awards represent the 16th year that the line’s been recognized in an itinerary category, and the 9th year that Princess took top honors for onboard shopping boutiques. Winners were determined by thousands of readers and online fans of Porthole, who voted for their favorite lines and ships in 54 categories.
Awards for Princess
Princess took top award in Best Central America Itineraries; they have cruises ranging from 10 to 19 days in the region. Princess guests can experience one of the world’s engineering marvels by cruising through the Panama Canal and visiting interesting ports in Columbia, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
The cruise line also won Best South Pacific Itineraries, where guests can choose from 13, 29, and 35-day cruises with visits to gorgeous Tahitian islands including Bora Bora, Morea, and Papeete.
Porthole readers also loved Princess’ onboard shopping boutiques, as the line won Best Onboard Shopping. Boutiques on Princess’ ships include duty-free shopping for jewelry, including a partnership with Effy, fine fragrances and cosmetics, brand-name accessories and apparel, gifts, liquor, and souvenirs.
The cocktails abound aboard a Princess ship, and guests love to drink them all in (pun intended). Coming out on top with Best Signature Cocktail, onboard offerings include new craft beers, a dedicated whiskey menu, and one of the largest collections of Super Tuscan wines at sea. Classic martinis, regionally-inspired cocktails, and even the “Isaac” crafted by America’s favorite Love Boat bartender are not lacking, either.
