AmaWaterways Debuts Designs for New Ship

AmaWaterways has announced plans for AmaMagna, their biggest river ship ever to be launched in 2019.  It represents a new concept for the modern luxury market, and will be twice the width of traditional European river ships.

The line’s latest innovation will hold 194 guests and include multiple dining options, more onboard activities, luxurious cabins, and a quieter and more fuel-efficient engine.  There will also be a open-water sports platform with zodiac boats, canoes, and recreational equipment for guests to use.

In total, AmaMagna will have 97 staterooms and most will be over 300 square feet; some of the largest in river cruising.  Other amenities include a heated sundeck swimming pool, spacious spa with new treatments, a fitness room big enough for group classes, and large common areas for a variety of onboard events.

Construction for the new vessel, which will operate itineraries on the Danube River, began on March 6, 2017.
