Big Changes in Store for Three Norwegian Ships

November will be a big month for three of Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships as they are repositioned for the winter season. That means new cruises will be available out of Port Canaveral, Tampa and New Orleans… and just in time for folks looking to book holiday trips! Which ships will be going where? Read on!

Epic Comes Home

Hard as it may be to believe, Norwegian Epic has actually been sailing since 2010. And while she originally sailed out of Miami, she’s been homeporting out of Barcelona since April of 2015. But this November, she’ll return to Florida and begin sailing out of Port Canaveral, doing Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. The ship underwent a renovation in late 2015 which brought with it the opening of The Cavern Club as well as the major broadway production Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.

A “New” Dawn For New Orleans

While Norwegian Dawn has sailed out of The Big Easy in the past, this will be the first time she’s done so since undergoing a massive renovation earlier this year. As a result, the ship now features Mexican eatery Los Lobos Cantina, the popular O’Sheehan’s Bar & Grill, a Sugarcane Mojito bar, and a wine bar called The Cellars. The ship also underwent a general refurbishment, with most of the public areas getting a new look and/or a freshening up.

Jade Heads To Tampa

This week, Norwegian Jade, which had been sailing out of Barcelona, begins a two-week transatlantic which will bring her back to Tampa. Then, beginning on November 13th, she’ll take passengers on a variety of Eastern and Western Caribbean runs before doing another transatlantic on April 30th of 2017, which will see her sailing to Southampton, England.
