Norwegian Cruise Line is serving up a sweet treat onboard the brand new Norwegian Breakaway. The line announced today that Master Baker Buddy Valastro, star of the popular TLC television series “Cake Boss” and “Next Great Baker,” will open an extension of his family business, Carlo’s Bake Shop on the New York based Norwegian Breakaway.
Located on Deck 8 in the old home of Cakestand, the new shop will feature all the treats and sweets the original bakery’s known for. Celebrating anything? The bakery will also be available for pre-order of specialty cakes. For guests aspiring to be the ‘Next Great Baker,’ the shop will offer cupcake decorating classes.
The delectable goodies, available for purchase à la carte, include:
- Cakes and pies, including Buddy’s famous Oreo, Dark Chocolate Mousse and Purple Groovy Fondant cakes
- Italian butter cookies
- Biscottis
- Cupcakes
- Chocolate and vanilla cannolis
- Cream-filled lobster tails
Designed as New York’s ship, the Norwegian Breakaway arrives in the Big Apple in early May 2013.
