In an official maritime ceremony held today at Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, Carnival Cruise Lines officially took ownership of the 3,690-passenger Carnival Breeze.
“Carnival Breeze represents the continued evolution of our product, offering a huge array of branded experiences for our guests and inviting public spaces each with its own personality and character, all enhanced by the spirited fun that makes a Carnival cruise so memorable,” said Gerry Cahill, Carnival president and CEO.
Carnival Breeze will embark on a 12-night Mediterranean sailing from Venice on June 3, followed by a series of 12-night Med sailings from Barcelona before repositioning to Miami this fall.
The 130,000-ton Carnival Breeze hosts a variety of Carnival’s Fun Ship 2.0 features including Guy’s Burger Joint, RedFrog Pub, enhanced dining venues, a thrill theater, interactive Hasbro games and a ropes course at sea.
Carnival Breeze is the 24th ship in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet.
