Carnival to Debut New A&E Television Series

Carnival Corporation has announced that they’re expanding their television series portfolio with the premiere of “Good Spirits” on FYI beginning February 16 at 6 pm, and A&E on February 20 at 2 pm.

The 30-minute, ten episode series joins cocktail chef Matthew Biancaniello as he sails around the globe on the company’s leading cruise lines in search of exceptional everyday people, sharing the stories of spirits, and collecting fresh, native ingredients for one-of-a-kind cocktails.

“Good Spirits” is the fourth television program that Carnival Corporation has produced, following the debut of three series that air on Saturday mornings on other major networks.  “The first three series that launched in the fall have resonated strongly with viewers and the experiential content strategy is generating the intended results – which is to showcase that cruising is a great vacation experience…expanding the diversity of our content while extending into an evening time slot allows us to showcase our diverse portfolio of vacation experiences to an entirely different group of viewers” said John Padgett, chief experience and innovation officer for Carnival Corporation.

Custom short-form vignettes will showcase drink recipes inspired by each episode.  They’ll debut on air and across the FYI social and digital platforms throughout the series’ 10-week run.  Coinciding with the series will also be a sweepstakes, which will offer audiences the chance to win a 7-day cruise for two.
