Carnival Dream entered a Bahamas drydock over the weekend to undergo a massive renovation, part of Carnival’s $500-million enhancement program coined Fun Ship 2.0.

While in the two week drydock Carnival Dream will undergo two new bars – RedFrog Rum Bar and Blue Iguana Tequila Bar – along with merchandise store Cherry on Top. The Punchliner Comedy Club presented by George Lopez and comedy brunch will also be added during the refit.

The RedFrog Rum Bar offers guests Caribbean rums, Carnival’s signature ThirstyFrog Red draft beer and Caribbean beers, while the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar is more focused on tequila drinks and Mexican beers. Cherry on Top is a merchandise store where guests can purchase candy, apparel and sweet treats.

Launched in 2009, this is the first dry dock for Carnival Dream. Carnival Dream will resume year-round seven-night sailings from Port Canaveral on September 22, 2012.
