Carnival Extends Docking Hours in Cozumel

Carnival Cruise Line has decided that their guests could use more time in the tropical port of Cozumel, Mexico.  They’ve extended the length of time their ships spend in the destination on over 750 cruises, allowing guests more time for excursions and exploring.

Guests sailing Carnival now have access to an assortment of new excursions on the cruise line’s “Cozumel Plus” itineraries.  Many take place on Mexico’s mainland, and are up to 8 hours long.  They include adventures such as swimming with whale sharks, visiting old ruins, swimming in hidden caverns, snorkeling, and more.  These are in addition to almost 50 already-existing tours.

In addition to the fun excursions, the extra time in port allows guests more time to check out the destination’s acclaimed white-sand beaches, go fishing and snorkeling, go shopping, and eat yummy food.

Cozumel Plus itineraries are operated by 17 Carnival ships, offering over 750 four to eight day cruises from six US homeports.  Carnival offers the biggest variety of cruises to Cozumel of any cruise operator.  The cruise line is kicking off their Cozumel Plus cruises with a special promotion of $25 per person shipboard credit, which can be used toward shore excursions.  The deal is available through April 22, when booking in combination with Carnival’s Early Saver rates.
