Carnival Cruise Line has announced more details on Carnival Horizon‘s inaugural season itinerary schedule. The new ship will offer a series of four-day Bermuda cruises from New York City in spring and summer 2018.
The four-day “long weekend” cruises will depart Thursdays and feature a full day in Bermuda where guests can enjoy the pink sand beaches, go snorkeling, kayaking, and visit historical landmarks. Five 4-day cruises will be offered on May 24, June 21, July 19, August 16, and September 13, 2018.
Including the five Bermuda sailings on Horizon, Carnival will offer 18 different voyages to the island in 2017 and 2018 from five east coast homeports: Baltimore, Charleston, New York City, Port Canaveral, and Fort Lauderdale.
Port Intensive Itineraries
Carnival Horizon is set to debut on April 2, 2018 with a 13-day Mediterranean voyage from Barcelona – the first of four roundtrip departures from there. Other sailings from Barcelona will include two 7-day cruises on April 15 and 22, and a 10-day cruise departing April 29, 2018.
The ship will then reposition to the US with a 14-day transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to New York City from May 9 to 23. The ship’s 2018 schedule from NYC includes twelve 8-day cruises roundtrip from New York from May to September, visiting Amber Cove, San Juan, and Grand Turk. Dates are May 28, June 5, 13, and 25, July 3, 11, 23, and 31, August 8, 20, and 28, and September 5.
Carnival Horizon will then move to Miami and kick off a year-round schedule of 6 and 8-day Caribbean cruises beginning September 22, 2018. The ship will also offer a two-day cruise from Nassau to Miami from September 20 to 22.
Currently under construction at Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, Horizon will feature many of the same dining, bar, entertainment, and activity options as Carnival Vista. Among those is the cycling coaster SkyRide, an IMAX Theater, WaterWorks aqua park, the Family Harbor staterooms, Havana rooms, and the Cloud 9 Spa.
