Carnival says no more smoking in guest staterooms

Today is the day that Carnival is implementing part two of their new smoking policy, that was launched over the summer.

Effective today (December 1, 2011), smoking will be prohibited in all guest staterooms. Guests in balcony accommodations will be able to smoke cigarettes and cigars outside on the balcony. Spa staterooms on Carnival Splendor, Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic, will remain entirely smoke-free, including the balconies.

Here’s a video we did over the summer when the modified policy was first announced.

  1. I am very glad that Carnival is making this move to non-smoking in cabins. My wife is a 9 yr lung cancer survivor and she does NOT like the smell of cigarette smoke. Thanks Carnival! (way past due).
