Carnival Slates Every Ship for Enhancements

It’s safe to say that since first being introduced in 2011, the various enhancements rolled out by Carnival Cruise Line have proven wildly popular with guests. And in the months to come, it looks like every ship in the fleet will receive the upgrades, in some fashion, with Senior Cruise Director John Heald recently telling viewers of a video posted to his Facebook page that, “every single ship will receive the things that you love… more on that throughout the year.”

Enhancements vary by ship but may include:

  • Guy’s Burger Joint
  • Alchemy Bar
  • BlueIguana Cantina
  • RedFrog Rum Bar
  • BlueIguana Tequila Bar
  • Cherry on Top
  • Bonsai Sushi
  • RedFrog Pub
  • Pizzeria del Capitano
  • Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse

Fun Ship 2.0 History

Launched back in 2011 at an initial cost of over $500 million, the Fun Ship 2.0 enhancements took concepts originally introduced on the Carnival Magic and incorporated them into other ships, beginning with the Carnival Liberty. At the time, the line had just begun its partnership with Guy Fieri, whose burger joint can now be found on 16 ships… and counting. It was also during the initial rollout of the Fun Ship 2.0 program that the RedFrog Pub spawned the RedFrog Rum Bar.

You can check out the full dry dock schedule here.

Which of the Fun Ship 2.0 enhancements is your favorite? Are there any features introduced on Vista you’d love to see rolled out fleetwide?
