Cruising and food go together like peanut butter and jelly, and it’s always exciting when we get new menus. Whether it’s a regular menu getting a facelift or a specialty restaurant updating its offerings, we love nothing more than perusing them to see what we will order… or would if we were on board! Today, we’re looking at Carnival’s Thanksgiving menu. Whether you’ll be enjoying the festivities aboard one of their ships or simply looking for ideas to incorporate into the dishes you’ll serve at home, here’s what’s on the menu!
Two Different Options
This Thanksgiving, there will be two different menus, depending on which ship you are sailing on. So we’ll look at both the offerings on the American Table menu for that day, and then the menu on ships which have not switched over.
The American Table menu for Thanksgiving day will feature:
APPETIZERS
- Shrimp Cocktail with cocktail sauce
- Heirloom tomatoes, blue crab and Ahi tuna with an olive marmalade
- Duck pot stickers with an orange duck glaze
- Oysters Rockefeller with baked spinach & cheese sauce, enhanced with turkey and Walnut dumpling
- Game consume with aged sherry and crispy straws
- A Thanksgiving salad of romaine lettuce with chestnuts, tomatoes and blue cheese
- A kale or romane caesar salad
ENTREES
- The Turkey Dinner
(featuring sweet potato gratin, giblet gravy, cranberry relish and walnut stuffing) - Spinach Fettuccine with Chicken Tetrazzini
(Chicken breast and mushrooms in a cream sauce with cheddar cheese) - Grilled Black Tiger Jumbo Shrimp
(With a fava been salad, garlic and herb butter) - Clove & Maple Syrup Marinated Baked Virginia Ham
(With apple and cinnamon bread pudding) - Grilled USDA Choice Sirloin Steak
(With oven-roasted potatoes and a red burgundy wine sauce) - Zucchini Fritters
(Stuffed with manchego cheese and eggplant) - Maine Lobster Tail
(With drawn butter) - Broiled Filet Mignon
(9 ounce premium aged beef) - Surf & Turf
(Lobster tail and grilled filet mignon) - Broiled Lamb Chops
(Double cut lamb chops)

Similar, But Not Quite…
So what is the menu like on ships which do not feature the American Table menu? They are fairly similar, but with a few differences. Here’s what those ships will offer on Thanksgiving Day!

- Pumpkin bisque (enhanced with turkey and walnut dumpling)
- Chilled tomato soup with a wild berry salad
- Oysters Rockefeller with baked spinach & cheese sauce
- Game consume with aged sherry and crispy straws
- A Thanksgiving salad of romaine lettuce with chestnuts, tomatoes and blue cheese and sweet ginger with a shallot dressing
ENTREES
- The Turkey Dinner
(featuring sweet potato gratin, giblet gravy, cranberry relish and walnut stuffing) - Spinach Fettuccine with Chicken Tetrazzini
(Chicken breast and mushrooms in a cream sauce with cheddar cheese) - Grilled Black Tiger Jumbo Shrimp
