An 18-year-old went overboard on Costa Toscana last week shortly after the ship departed Civitavecchia, Italy en route to Genoa.

The ship did a U-turn to locate him, and the Italian Coast Guard was called to the scene. The teen, who was a German citizen, was located, but was sadly pronounced dead.

No information has been released regarding how the teen went overboard.

Costa Toscana, which is a year old, operates seven-night voyages in the Mediterranean.
