Juneau Welcomes First Cruise Ship of the Season
Juneau, Alaska is set to welcome its first major cruise ship of the season today.
Norwegian Cruise Line’s ship Norwegian Bliss is set to dock around 1:30 pm during a seven-night voyage out of Seattle.
Two other cruise ships are also scheduled to dock in Juneau this week: Norwegian Jewel on Wednesday and Holland America’s Zuiderdam on Friday.
Radiance of the Seas Resumes Service
Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas has returned to service. The ship’s inaugural itinerary was a repositioning cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver, to position the vessel for the Alaska season.
The Radiance-class ship will spend the summer sailing one-way voyages between Vancouver and Seward, Alaska.
This is Royal Caribbean’s 22nd ship to return to service. Another vessel, Serenade of the Seas, is scheduled to return to cruising tomorrow.
Celebrity Eclipse Resumes Service
After 25 months, Celebrity Eclipse has entered service.
The Solstice-class ship is currently sailing an 11-night cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii, it’ll do the same itinerary returning to Canada before starting Alaska voyages later this month.
As well, Celebrity’s new Edge-class ship, Celebrity Beyond, is scheduled to sail from Southampton this week. The inaugural sailing will be a 10-night cruise from England to Barcelona, Spain.
