Overboard Passenger Speaks About His Experience
The 28 year old Alabama man that wound up overboard from Carnival Valor the day before Thanksgiving is speaking out. In an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America, the passenger shared his tale of survival and good fortune.
The man was reported missing by his sister on Thanksgiving afternoon. And missing he was, treading water in the Gulf of Mexico after going overboard. After spending almost 20 hours in the gulf, he was spotted by a tanker that signaled the Coast Guard, which had already combed over 7,000 square miles searching for the missing man.
He said it’s still a mystery how he ended up overboard.
