CDC Downgrades Cruise Warning to Level 3
As of Tuesday, the CDC travel warning now says that cruising presents a Level 3 travel risk. This is a welcomed change after the agency elevating it to a Level 4 on December 30.
In the update, the CDC said, “getting vaccinated is still the best way to protect yourself from severe disease, slow the spread of COVID-19, and reduce the number of new variants.”
In response to lowering the travel warning, the Cruise Lines International Association said, “the decision by the CDC to lower the travel health notice threat level for cruise ships is a step in the right direction.”
