Disney to Offer ‘Pixar Day at Sea’ Cruises

Disney Cruise Line has announced that select 2023 Disney Fantasy sailings will include a special Pixar-themed sea day.

Pixar Day at Sea will include character interactions, a new dance party, Coco-themed theater show, and Pixar dining experiences.

The special day will be included on nine eastern and western Caribbean voyages from January through March, departing from Port Canaveral.

Pixar Day at Sea is the third themed sea day that Disney has done, following Star Wars Day at Sea and Marvel Day at Sea.

Bookings Open For Carnival Jubilee

Bookings for Carnival’s next Excel-class ship, Carnival Jubilee, have opened for sale.

Jubilee will spend its inaugural 2023 to 2024 season sailing from Galveston to the western Caribbean on seven-night cruises.

Port calls will include Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatán.

Carnival Jubilee is Carnival’s third Excel ship, following Mardi Gras which debuted last year, as well as Carnival Celebration which will set sail this year.

Princess Names First-Ever Head of Culinary Arts

Princess Cruises has appointed Chef Rudi Sodamin as its first-ever head of culinary arts, effective immediately.

Sodamin is also Master Chef for Princess’ sister line Holland America, which is a position he will retain.

Chef Sodamin is the most highly-decorated chef at sea, and is considered one of the most influential chefs in the hospitality industry.

He recently launched Rudi’s Sel de Mer restaurant on three Holland America ships, as well as the new Rudi’s Seagrill venue on Carnival’s Mardi Gras.
