Carnival Celebration Gets Her Funnel
Carnival Cruise Line’s latest new build, Carnival Celebration, received its signature funnel at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland on Tuesday afternoon. The new LNG ship will debut from the United Kingdom in November with its maiden voyage being a transatlantic from Southampton to Miami, Florida.
Celebration will have a lot of the same features as Mardi Gras — which debuted July 31 last year in Port Canaveral — including the BOLT roller coaster.
Once in Miami, the ship will sail six, seven, and eight-night Caribbean voyages.
In March, Carnival will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Wonder of the Seas to Be Delivered Today
Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas is scheduled to be delivered later on today at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France.
The ship will be divided into eight neighborhoods, including a brand-new Suite Neighborhood for suite guests. Also new will be a southern specialty restaurant called The Mason Jar.
Wonder of the Seas holds the title of the largest cruise ship in the world, followed by Royal’s other Oasis-class vessels. In March, Wonder will sail Caribbean voyages from her homeport of Port Everglades.
Celebrity Infinity 2022 Caribbean Cruises Announced
Last week, Celebrity Infinity’s Mediterranean schedule for this summer was canceled.
Now, the line has announced that the ship will be sailing in the Caribbean starting on June 25 from Port Everglades. It will operate seven-night eastern and western itineraries, with every sailing featuring calls to Key West and either Bimini or Nassau.
After spending the summer in Port Everglades, Celebrity Infinity will reposition to operate South America and Antarctica sailings for the winter 2022-2023 season.
