Disney Wish Christened in Port Canaveral

Disney Wish was christened Wednesday morning in Port Canaveral, officially welcoming the fifth ship to the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

New features exclusive to Wish include a barbecue dining venue, a Moana-themed suite in the funnel, a Star Wars bar, and an aqua coaster with special effects.

Chef’s Table Returns on Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Cruise Line’s Chef’s Table dining experience have returning this month for the first time since the shutdown.

In a Facebook post, the line’s brand ambassador John Heald revealed that the experience is returning as Carnival’s staffing issues are being resolved and more crew are returning to the ships.

The chef’s table is an intimate dining experience where guests all sit together, enjoying multiple courses of dishes prepared just for the occasion.

The two hour dinner with wine will cost you around $95 per guest.

Norwegian Cruise Line Cancels More Pride of America Voyages

Cruise cancellations for the short-staffed Pride of America are now carrying into August.

In a letter to booked guests, Norwegian Cruise Line wrote, “Due to recent staffing levels onboard Pride of America, we will be operating at a lower guest capacity to ensure we are able to deliver a high-caliber vacation experience.

It went on to say, “Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate your upcoming reservation aboard the Pride of America and will be cancelling your current booking.”

Unlike other ships sailing from North America, Pride of America is a U.S.-flagged ship that sails Hawaii, and is required to have a majority of its crew members be U.S. citizens.

The are currently hiring everything from housekeepers, to Butchers, to entertainment techs.
