Carnival Brand Ambassador Provides Updates
Carnival’s brand ambassador John Heald went live on Facebook yesterday morning to give some cruise line updates. He revealed that the crew shortage situation is improving, and the line should be back to full staffing levels by the end of July.
The news means that soon the line will soon be able to reopen its restaurant Cucina del Capitano for dinner, bring back 24 hour pizza, and restart the evening kid’s program Night Owls.
In related kid’s club news, Camp Ocean is now open to two to four year olds. Previously, only programming for kids five and older had resumed.

Quebec City Opens New Cruise Terminal
Quebec City has opened a new cruise terminal ahead of its busy cruise season this fall. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Terminal 30 was held earlier this month at the eastern Canadian port, which cost nearly $32 million to build.
The first ship scheduled to call at the new terminal is Caribbean Princess, which will arrive on August 4.
Canada and New England itineraries are popular in later months of the year due to the region’s colorful fall foliage.
Royal Caribbean Releases Utopia Keel Laying Video

On April 5, the line first started construction by cutting steel on the vessel at a shipyard in France.
Utopia will be the sixth ship in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis-class, and the first LNG-powered ship of the industry-defining Oasis-class setting sail in spring 2024.
Last month, the last Royal Caribbean Group ship returned to service, marking every vessel in the fleet now sailing.
