Cruise Ships Boosting Galveston’s Economy
Cruise ships are bringing in a lot of money to the Gulf Coast of Texas. In the first four months of the year, Carnival, Disney, and Royal Caribbean brought 243,248 passengers to Galveston between 98 sailings.
Later this year, a third terminal for Royal Caribbean is scheduled to open at the port, bringing even more passengers when Allure of the Seas is in town for nine sailings. 2022 will also see Ruby Princess and Norwegian Cruise Line’s upcoming ship Norwegian Prima.
