Carnival Fleet to Be Back in Service By Mid-March

Carnival Cruise Line has announced that its entire fleet will be back in service by mid-March 2022. 

More ships that now have return dates include Carnival Sensation from Mobile on March 5, Ecstasy from Jacksonville on March 7, and Paradise from Tampa on March 12. 

In addition to having all of its ships sailing again, March will be a big month for Carnival as the company kicks off its 50th anniversary celebration.

Odyssey of the Seas Christened

Royal Caribbean’s newest ship Odyssey of the Seas was christened during a ceremony in Port Everglades on Saturday. Bahamian paratriathlete Erin Brown had the honor of naming and blessing the vessel as godmother.

Odyssey will sail five to eight-night Caribbean cruises through April, and then move to the Mediterranean for the summer season.

Norwegian Escape Resumes Cruises

Norwegian Escape returned to service from Port Canaveral on Saturday with a voyage to the eastern Caribbean.

The vessel will operate seven-night voyages to the eastern Caribbean, visiting ports including Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Norwegian’s private Bahamian island Great Stirrup Cay.

Escape is the eighth ship in the company’s 17-vessel fleet to resume operations.
