MSC Christens New Ship, Floats Out Another

It was a big day for MSC on Thursday.

The line christened its newest Seaside EVO-class ship, MSC Seashore, during a ceremony at its private island Ocean Cay yesterday evening.

And over in Italy, the second Seaside EVO vessel, MSC Seascape, was floated out at the Fincantieri shipyard. MSC also announced that Seascape, which is set to be delivered in November 2022, will debut in Miami.

Nieuw Statendam Prepares to Resume Cruises From Port Everglades

Another Holland America ship is set to sail from Port Everglades this weekend.

Nieuw Statendam is set to kick off cruises from the south Florida port on Sunday with a seven-night western Caribbean itinerary.

The ship’s restart comes on the heels of the line’s newest ship Rotterdam, which began cruises from the same port on November 5.

Cunard Announces Special Sailing With War Veterans

Cunard has announced a special transatlantic crossing next year that will pay tribute to war heroes.

The voyage, setting sail on Queen Mary 2, will feature veterans that will host lectures about their time in service and participate in Q&A sessions. It will include veterans from World War II as well as the Korean, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars. 

The cruise will depart New York City on June 5 and arrive in Southampton, England on June 12.
