Royal Caribbean Announces Godmother of Wonder of the Seas
Royal Caribbean has announced the winner of its “Wonder Mom” TikTok contest, who will serve as godmother of its new ship Wonder of the Seas.
Pennsylvania mom and cancer survivor Marie McCrea was nominated by her daughter and chosen from a number of finalists by Royal Caribbean to be the ship’s godmother. She will bless Wonder of the Seas during the naming ceremony at Port Canaveral on December 9th.
Wonder of the Seas is the fifth vessel in the Oasis class, and is currently the largest cruise ship in the world. She is currently operating a year-round schedule of seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruises.

MSC Seascape Departs on First Sailing
MSC Seascape is now on her first-ever voyage.
The ship departed Civitavecchia on Friday on a 17-night transatlantic itinerary to New York City. The voyage will include five different ports before arriving to New York.
The ship will be christened on December 7th in New York, and begin regular service from Miami on December 11th. Seascape will sail from Miami year-round, offering seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruises.
Viking Neptune on Inaugural Cruise
Following her delivery earlier this month, Viking’s newest ocean ship Viking Neptune departed on her inaugural cruise last Thursday. The ship departed Istanbul, Turkey on a seven-night voyage to the eastern Mediterranean.
In December, Neptune will depart on Viking’s 138-day world cruise, which is scheduled to visit 57 ports in 28 countries.
With the addition of Viking Neptune, the cruise line now has eight ocean ships, not counting its two expedition vessels.
