Nieuw Statendam Resumes Service From Florida

Five Holland America ships are back in passenger service.

On Sunday, Nieuw Statendam set sail from Port Everglades, marking its first voyage since the industry shutdown last year. The ship is now on a seven-night western Caribbean cruise with calls in Nassau, Ocho Rios, Port Royal, and Half Moon Cay.

From now through April, Nieuw Statendam will operate seven to 11-night cruises in the Caribbean.

Disney Announces Two New Theater Shows For Wish

Disney Cruise Line has announced two new theater shows for its upcoming ship Disney Wish.

One will be a modern retelling of The Little Mermaid, and the other will be a song and dance show featuring Captain Minnie, Goofy, and other Disney and Pixar characters.

The ship will also feature a new rock and roll version of Disney’s popular Pirates in the Caribbean deck party.

Disney Wish is set to debut in June 2022.

Carnival Accepting Christmas Cards For Crew Members

Carnival Cruise Line is looking for your help to deliver Christmas cards to its crew members.

Started last year by Carnival’s brand ambassador John Heald, several thousand cards were delivered to crew members who were manning the ships during the shutdown.
