Viking Sets Sail From Port Everglades

Viking’s ocean ship Viking Orion departed Port Everglades on Wednesday, marking the first time the line has sailed from Fort Lauderdale.

A second Viking vessel, Viking Star, is set to join Orion there in November.

Together, the ships will operate Caribbean and Panama Canal voyages through the winter.

Originally a river line, Viking expanded into ocean cruising in 2015 and has launched seven ocean ships since then.

Princess Cruises and Holland America have announced that they are now allowing more passengers onboard who have mixed vaccinations. This is welcome news for Canadian cruisers, as many have received mixed vaccines.
