A cruise line tender boat ran aground at 7:45pm on Thursday night ferrying passengers from Bar Harbor to the 2,034-guest Celebrity Summit, this reported from a newspaper in Maine.
Dozens of passengers were removed within 20 minutes from a local whale watching boat and brought back to the cruise ship. During high tide the tender boat was freed off the rock and hoisted back onto the Celebrity Summit.
According to Travel Pulse, “Two guests were treated in the ships medical center for ‘minor injuries,’ the line said.”
Celebrity Summit is on a 14-night Canada/New England sailing.
