Disney Cruise Line Adds New Itineraries

Disney Cruise Line will be sailing new itineraries and ports in summer 2018, including first-time visits to destinations in Ireland and Italy.  The line will take guests on a grand tour of Europe with visits in the Mediterranean, northern Europe, Norway, and Iceland.

New Sailings from Rome and Barcelona

For the first time, Disney guests can experience both Barcelona and Rome as bookend experiences during a single voyage.  In Rome, guests can explore the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican.  Barcelona offers gorgeous beaches, the market streets of Las Ramblas, the artistic architecture of Saudi, and the Sagrada Família church.

On June 16, 2018, Disney Magic will depart for a 7-night cruise from Rome to Barcelona, stopping in Naples, Livorno, and Genoa, Italy, as well as Cannes and Marseilles, France.

First-Time Visits

Disney will call on Genoa, Italy for the first time in 2018 as part of three special sailings from Barcelona and Rome.  This historic port is located on the Italian Riviera, and serves as a gateway to Milan and the picturesque locale of Portofino.  A 10-night Mediterranean cruise will sail from Barcelona on July 7, 2018 and call on Genoa, as well as other popular ports in Italy, France, and Spain.

Disney Magic will be calling on Cork, Ireland for the first time in 2018, as part of the line’s first 7-night British Isles cruise departing on September 2.  Other ports visited on the itinerary include Dublin, Ireland; Greenock, Scotland; and Liverpool, England.  Cork is home to a vibrant culinary scene, and invited visits to connect with Ireland’s past with historic sites line Blarney Castle, where visitors can kiss the famed Blarney Stone.

Throughout the summer, Magic‘s tour of Europe will continue with cruises in the Baltic, Norwegian fjords, British Isles, and Mediterranean.

Return to Alaska

The newly renovated Disney Wonder will be returning to Alaska in 2018.  A variety of 5, 7, and 9-night itineraries will depart from Vancouver with stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, and Tracy Arm Fjord.

Southern Caribbean and Castaway Cay

Disney Fantasy will embark on a special 11-night southern Caribbean itinerary on June 30, 2018 visiting destinations including Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, St. Kitts, Puerto Rico, and Disney’s private island Castaway Cay.

In 2018, Disney Dream will sail a series of voyages that include two stops at the top-rated Castaway Cay, so guests can enjoy twice the amount of fun there.  On June 6, 20, and July 4, the ship will sail from Port Canaveral on 4-night cruises to Nassau and two stops at Castaway.  On June 1, 10, 15, 24, 29, and July 8, the ship will operate 5-night cruises to Nassau with two stops at Castaway Cay.
