Disney Cruise Line Extends ‘Marvel Day at Sea’

Disney Cruise Line has announced they’re extending their Marvel Day at Sea aboard Disney Magic to 2018.  Eight special sailings from Miami from January to April will feature the themed day, following the premiere of the event on seven sailings from New York City in fall 2017.

Marvel Day at Sea combines the thrills of the Marvel comics, films, and animated series and the excitement of a Disney cruise to summon everyone’s inner superhero for a day full of adventures.  The event will feature character interactions immersive show with Doctor Strange, a deck party, special culinary offerings, and more.

Marvel Day at Sea Highlights

  • Spider-Man, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther, Loki, and other Marvel superhero and villains are onboard for interactions and photos.
  • During an immersive theater show, Doctor Strange demonstrates the power of the mystic arts and enlists guests in an epic battle against the Dark Dimension.
  • A brand-new deck party with music, dancing, and games, culminating in a stunning display of pyrotechnics, lighting, and sound effects with all of the characters together
  • For young cruisers there will be Marvel-themed games, activities, and crafts offered throughout the day.

The 2018 Marvel Day at Sea cruises depart from Miami on January 7 and 21, February 4 and 18, March 18, and April 1, 15, and 29.  The five-night voyages stop in Castaway Cay as well as either Cozumel or Grand Cayman.
