  1. I agree with Craig’s comments. Mexico is totally safe for tourists. Crime happens all over the world. The frequency of crime towards tourists is very low in Mexico. Those that say Mexico, especially the coastal cities, are dangerous are usually the ones who have never visited and read US media reports on Juarez. The Mexican people are very welcoming and love to share their culture and do all they can to protect and promote tourism.

    As a 44 year travel agent veteran who is now lucky enough to spend 4 glorious months in Mazatlan
    during the winter I can assure you we feel totally safe in Mazatlan. As safe or maybe even safer than at home!
    The locals are fantastic & the destination has so much more to offer than other Mexican resort destinations. Value, value, value!
