Fathom Offering Savings on Cuba/Dominican Cruises

Fathom recently announced that they were going to be adding Cuba as a port of call for some of their Dominican Republic voyages, due to popular demand for visiting the island nation.  Now, they’ve just announced $100 savings on six upcoming voyages that visit the Dominican Republic and Santiago de Cuba.

When booked between January 14 and January 20, guests can reserve their spot aboard one of the cruises for prices beginning at $499.  Applicable voyages include those departing on February 26, March 12 and 26, April 9 and 23, and May 7.

During the first stop, travelers will participate in people to people programs arranged and sponsored by Fathom, where they can spend a full day in Santiago de Cuba interacting with locals and discovering sights unique to the island.  As Cuba’s second largest city, it’s home to the festivals of Carnaval and the Fiesta del Fuego, as well as to many famed musicians, artists, and most-visited historical sites.

After that, guests will continue on to the Dominican Republic after a day at sea, and spend a day and a half participating in impact activities for the people that live there.  Activities include planting trees, producing artisan chocolates with a women’s cooperative, and building water filters for local homes.
