Four Hurt When Cruise Ship Lifeboat Falls

A lifeboat drill went tragically awry this afternoon aboard the Norwegian Breakaway, with numerous sources reporting that several injured crewmembers were rushed to the hospital, with at least one in critical condition.

According to the Royal Gazette, the injured crewmembers were recovered from the water after a lifeboat came untethered and wound up danging from the side of the ship while it was docked in Bermuda. The ship, which sails out of New York City, had arrived at Heritage Wharf earlier in the day.

  1. It breaks my heart to hear this news. The crew works so hard and it can be dangerous especially maintaining the life boats. They are in my prayers.
