
Early on Friday, shipbuilder Meyer Werft’s latest new build, German cruise liner AIDAstella left the covered building dock I. The docking procedure started at 7:30a and around 10:00a AIDAstella was shifted into the Yard’s harbor where several tests will be carried out.
In the following days at the outfitting pier the last working activities, tests and trials will be carried out.Following the float out maneuver the first crew members will move into their quarters on board. In February, the AIDAstella will start the conveyance trip at the EMS river to go to Emden harbor from where sea trials will be conducted.
The 71,300-ton AIDAstella has a length overall of 759 feet and a total width of 97 feet. The ship is equipped with 1097 cabins and 7 restaurants and 12 bars.
