Hurricane Madaline Diverts West Coast Cruise Ship

Hurricane Madeline has diverted Norwegian Cruise Line’s Hawaii-based Pride of America this week. Packing winds of 90 mph, the cruise line made the decision revise the itinerary to keep the guests comfortable and safe.

New Itinerary

The ship will now remain at sea on August 31 cruising past the Na Pali coast.  She will also extend her time in port in Nawiliwili, Kauai on Friday, September 2 for an additional four hours, departing at 6 pm instead of 2 pm.

Norwegian told us, “We continue to monitor the storm’s path and will update guests should any further itinerary changes occur.”

The National Hurricane Center said the storm is tracking westbound and is suppose to bring heavy rains and wind to the southern Hawaiian islands.
