The Kate plus 8 cruise was supposed to depart on Allure of the Seas out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida on August 12, 2012, on a 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary with stops in: Labadee,Haiti; Cozumel, Mexico; and Falmouth, Jamaica.
“Yes, that event has been canceled. We just didn’t get the turnout that we desired and mutually we agreed that if we didn’t get it, we would cancel,” said a spokesperson for Luxury Cruises and Tours, the company putting on the theme cruise.
Cabin prices started at $1,900 per person for an ocean-view and up to $3,175 for a Junior Suite, which surprisingly wasn’t a huge mark-up from the already premium-priced ship.
