MSC cruise ship christening to be streamed live

MSC Cruises will christen the newest ship in the MSC Cruises fleet this weekend in Marseille, Frace and will telecast on the company’s website for all to see. The 3,959-passenger MSC Divina will be christened on Saturday evening by international actress Sophia Loren  in front of thousands tuning in across the world

The christening event will include a gala dinner and entertainment from illustrious performers in the company of international celebrities, selected guests, media, authorities and the top management of MSC Cruises.

“Since 2003 we have built our ships on French soil, partnering with the French shipyard and heavily contributing to employment and the economy,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, CEO, MSC Cruises. “Tonight in Marseille we will celebrate this long-established relationship, paying homage to the country’s oldest and biggest port at the christening ceremony of our latest flagship, MSC Divina.”

MSC Divina will spend the summer sailing seven-night Mediterranean cruises, inter-porting between Izmir, Istanbul, Barcelona and Venice.
