Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! Because at long last, two of the most popular pastimes in America are coming together in what might just be the greatest combination since peanut butter and jelly: This January, the Norwegian Pearl will play host to NASCAR: The Cruise!
Who’ll Be On Board?
Among the racers who’ll be mixing it up with fans when the ship sails out of Miami on January 29 are Hall of Famers Richard Petty, Dale Inman, Robert Yates, Rusty Wallace and Bobby Allison. Joining them will be Donnie Allison, Kyle Petty, David Ragan, Ken Schrader, Mike Wallace and Michael Waltrip.
Oh, and did we mention that the entertainment will include performances from 38 Special and — hold onto your hats — The Beach Boys! Plus, guests will have the chance to compete against one another in a special pit crew challenge set to be judged by legendary NASCAR crew chiefs and drivers.
Meet Your Faves!
There will, of course, also be opportunities to attend autograph sessions and purchase exclusive merchandise designed specifically for the cruise. Performance Racing Network’s Doug Rice will host a Q&A session with the drivers, while Jeff Hammond will lead fitness training sessions designed specifically to help pit crews train.
Pretty much anything you associate with cruising will be given a NASCAR twist, from Bingo (featuring NASCAR-themed cards and numbers) and trivia (hosted by SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s Brad Gille) to a special Texas Hold’em tournament featuring a final table pitting winners against the legendary drivers. Heck, even the films featured at Movies Under The Stars will be flicks like Talladega Nights.
