Norwegian Adds Cover Charge to Margaritaville

If you’re traveling aboard Norwegian Escape and want to dine in Jimmy Buffet’s signature ‘Margaritaville at Sea’, bring your wallet (or Freestyle Card). The once free venue is going to a la carte pricing effective November 28.

There was overwhelming response onboard for the venue over the first couple sailings, with wait times exceeding two hours. Adding the surcharge will hopefully slow the crowds down.

Email to Cruise Guests

An email from the cruise line said, “The first ever Margaritaville at Sea on board Norwegian Escape has proven to be one of our most popular on board dining venues. Offering favorites like the Cheeseburger in Paradise and the Key West Fish Sandwich. To continue delivering the highest quality experience to our guests, the restaurant will now offer tropical menu selections on an a la carte basis starting November 28.”

New Prices

The prices are still lower than Buffet’s land side venues.

  • Cheeseburger in Paradise: $6.99
  • Key West Fish Sandwich: $8.99
  • French Fries: $2.99
  • Key Lime Pie: $3.99

There will be an added 18% specialty dining charge to all orders.

You can see the revised a la carte menu here.
