When the brand new Norwegian Breakaway debuts in New York City this summer, she’ll launch with a “bang” – over and over again. Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that the new ship will feature a brand new fireworks show on every sailing.
The environmentally-friendly pyrotechnics display will dazzle guests on the second to last night at sea each week, after the ship departs Bermuda during her summer inaugural season. The fireworks will be the grand finale of a decadent 1980s-themed deck party and will be set to a specially-selected playlist of classic 1980s hits by artists like Madonna, Devo and Prince. The fireworks are just the latest announcement of innovations, new spaces and groundbreaking design for the Norwegian Breakaway. Guests can expect to see a dynamic new combination of indoor and outdoor spaces with The Waterfront and 678 Ocean Place, the first Aqua Park at sea – complete with five full size slides – and scores of entertainment options.
The 4,000 passenger Norwegian Breakaway arrives in her year-round homeport of New York City on May 7, 2013.
