Norwegian Wants You to Crush on Cruising

Published

on

Norwegian Cruise Line has released some of their February deals, while some are ongoing promotions that have been going on for years (like extending their “Free At Sea” promotion). However, there are a couple new ones that are meant to entice even the seasoned cruiser.

Crush on Cruising

This promotion provides guests up to $500 in free onboard spending money when they book a new five-day or longer sailing in a balcony stateroom or above. In honor of the romantic holiday, Norwegian is topping off the offer with a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate-covered strawberries for all stateroom categories.

The Bahamas and Cuba Incentives

Now through February 28, guests can book a new three or four-day Bahamas or Cuba cruise aboard Norwegian Sun or Norwegian Sky with the free unlimited open bar and Norwegian’s Free at Sea All Inclusive. With this offer, guests choose from five onboard amenities including a $50 specialty dining credit, $50 towards shore excursions in each port, 100 minutes of complimentary WiFi, a photo package with 10 free images, or Norwegian’s Friends & Family Sail Free offer that allows the third and fourth guests to sail for free on select sailings.

Free at Sea

Norwegian’s “Free at Sea” promotion will be extending through February 28. Guests who book a new three-day or longer cruise in oceanview, balcony, or mini suites can choose two of five choices from five onboard amenity offers. They include free unlimited open bar, a free specialty dining package, $50 for shore excursions in each port, 250 minutes of free WiFi, or “Friends and Family Sail Free,” where third and fourth guests in a cabin can sail for free on most 2018 sail dates. Those who book interiors or studio staterooms can choose one offer. Those who book a suite or The Haven will enjoy all five free amenities.

Big Apple Bonus

Celebrating the line’s newest ship headed to New York City for her winter 2019-2020 season, Norwegian Bliss‘ Big Apple Bonus is offering guests $100 in free onboard spending money when they book a 2019 cruise from New York City on Bliss, now through February 28. Combinable with Free at Sea, the offer provides up to $3,200 in added value to the cruise.

Free at Sea Hawaii

Those looking for South Pacific tropical paradise can take advantage of Norwegian’s Free at Sea Hawaii offer, which has also been extended through February 28. Guests who book any cabin (except suites) on Pride of America can enjoy one of these five offers: a free one-night pre-cruise hotel stay with an option for reduced airfare, a free specialty dining package, free gratuities for the first and second guest in a cabin, $50 per port shore excursion credit, or the Friends and Family Sail Free offer. Those who book a suite on the ship will enjoy all five offers.

Combinable with Free at Sea Hawaii, Norwegian Cruise Line is also inviting guests to Crush on Cruising in Hawaii, where they will receive up to $500 in free onboard spending money and chocolate-covered strawberries when booking a new seven-day cruise on Pride of America.

Distinctive Voyages

Norwegian’s Distinctive Voyages has been extended through March 31. On select nine-day or longer cruises, guests will receive five offers: 120 minute phone call package, 250 minute internet package, $50 credit per port shore excursions, up to $400 in air credit, and $100 in hotel credit. Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Take Annual Photos on Cruise Ship

Published

on

The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders have officially wrapped up their 2018 annual photo shoot, and this year a Miami-based cruise ship was the backdrop.

Over 20 of the cheerleaders sailed to the sunny Caribbean this month aboard MSC Cruises’ MSC Seaside, donning a number of clothing styles for the photos while capturing the ship’s iconic design. The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Annual is set to be released at the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Fashion Show this fall.

The cheerleaders also took part in photo shoot in ports along the way, including St. Maarten, San Juan, and Nassau. During the voyage, the cheerleaders engaged with guests throughout the cruise during a variety of activities, including at the sail away party, hosting youth cheer clinics, posing for photo ops, and doing special performances to entertain guests. To kick off the cruise, they provided a warm Miami Dolphins welcome by taking over the terminal with mascot “TD” to cheer guests into their vacation.

The annual photoshoot onboard MSC Seaside came on the heels of the Dolphins’ first ever Fan Cruise onboard the same ship in March. The voyage included football legend guests of honor including Kim Bokamper, Terry Kirby, Sam Madison, Nat Moore, Joe Rose and Patrick Surtain, for a week of themed activities. The team will be hosting their second cruise in 2019.

The Miami Dolphins and MSC Cruises are in the midst of a three-year partnership, which resulted in the Fan Cruise. It will be hosted annually over the next three years.

Carnival Cruise Line’s brand new Vista-class ship Carnival Horizon made her first-ever call in Halifax, Nova Scotia yesterday.

The day was a welcome change for cruise passengers; it was the first port stop after six days at sea crossing the Atlantic Ocean from the Mediterranean. Ship officers as well as local officials held a traditional plaque ceremony in the Library onboard, where a plaque was given to the ship by the Port of Halifax and other tokens were exchanged, including a model of the ship given to the port by Carnival Cruise Line.

Carnival Horizon is the sister-ship to Carnival Vista, which pioneered a number of new concepts for Carnival including the SkyRide bicycling attraction and the Dreamscape LED sculpture in the atrium. Some of Horizon’s unique new features include a sit-down barbecue smokehouse and brewery as well as a Cat in the Hat themed WaterWorks water park.
