Port Everglades Breaks Cruise Passenger Record

The Port Everglades cruise terminal knew that they were going to have more passengers than usual December 20, but they didn’t quite realize how many.  They ended up breaking their own world record for cruise guests embarking and disembarking in a single day – 53,485 of them.  The port’s last record was in 2010, with 53,365 – literally only 120 less!

Want to know which ships contributed to breaking this record? There were eight of them:

  • Carnival Conquest
  • Celebrity Silhouette
  • ms Eurodam
  • ms Nieuw Amsterdam
  • Regal Princess
  • Royal Princess
  • Allure of the Seas
  • Navigator of the Seas

Broward County’s Port Everglades is ranked as one of the three busiest cruise ports in the world.  Guests have a variety of cruise vacation choices nearby including Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Dania Beach.  Visit their online Cruise Guide at porteverglades.net.
