Quantum of the Seas Arrives in Shanghai

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas arrived in Shanghai on Wednesday after its 53 night journey from New York, following its inaugural season at Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New Jersey.

The Quantum of the Seas is now joining the Voyager of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, and Legend of the Seas in China, together ranking as the most advanced and innovative cruise ships in the region and reaffirming the brand’s commitment to Asia.  The ship will sail from its new homeport, Shanghai, roundtrip year-round on three to eight night cruises to north Asian destinations.

The ship features a glass capsule, the North Star, that takes guests 300 feet above the ocean for panoramic views, an indoor skydiving experience, and FlowRider surfing simulators.  It also boasts the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea with bumper cars, roller skating, circus school, and more.  There are 18 restaurants on board, and 3 live entertainment venues, as well as the cruise line’s largest and most advanced staterooms.
