Royal Caribbean has extended its Cruise with Confidence program, which provides flexibility for booked cruise guests.
The program has been extended to include reservations confirmed on or before January 31, 2022, and sailing through May 31, 2022. It enables reservations to cancel up to 48 hours prior to the sail date in exchange for a 100 percent future cruise credit.
To be eligible, the reservation must be active (not previously canceled) without having previously accepted any cancellation offers.
In addition, qualifying guests are also able to take advantage of Royal Caribbean’s Best Price Guarantee up to 48 hours prior to the sail date.
If the “best price guarantee” results in a decrease in the fare on or before the final payment due date, the difference will be provided in a rate adjustment. If it’s after the final payment due date, the difference is provided in the form of onboard credit. Certain promotions are excluded from the offer.
The Cruise with Confidence program was originally announced in March 2020 due to the uncertainty surrounding cruising when the pandemic began to take hold across the globe. Since then, it has been extended multiple times to accommodate guests’ needs and to provide peace of mind when booking with Royal Caribbean.
Royal Caribbean resumed cruises following the industry shutdown in December 2020, when Quantum of the Seas set sail on a series of cruises to nowhere from Singapore. Since then, 20 more ships in the fleet have resumed passenger sailings, and have carried over 500,000 guests in the past year.
The line christened its newest ship, Odyssey of the Seas, during a ceremony in Fort Lauderdale last month, and will welcome its next vessel — the largest cruise ship in the world, Wonder of the Seas — this coming March.
