Royal Caribbean International is on the lookout for the “World’s Mosts Adventurous Squad” through an Instagram contest.  In the end, a group of up to four friends will be crowned with the title, and win trips anywhere Royal Caribbean sails.

How It Works

Those looking for a shot at social media fame and worldwide adventure can enter by participating in any one of five adventure-themed Instagram challenges.  From highlighting hidden gems in their travels to showcasing the best eats, each challenge will give participants the opportunity to share their most impressive photos for a chance to win.  Each challenge will run for 72 hours on Royal Caribbean’s Instagram account from March 29 to April 12.  To take part, those participating simply post their photo to Instagram with the hashtags #AdventureSquad and #Contest, and tag three friends that will comprise their group.

Upon completion of each challenge, one winning squad will be selected and then the finalists set sail aboard Harmony of the Seas, taking over the cruise line’s social media channels as they go.  The squads will face head-to-head to capture and share the best content both from onboard and ashore, and at the end the squad that most embodies the spirit of adventure will be named the “World’s Most Adventurous Squad” and win trips anywhere Royal Caribbean sails.  In addition, photos from their adventures will also be seen on Royal Caribbean’s billboards in New York City in May.

More Details

Australian travel blogger Tyson Mayr will act as the contest host, announcing each 48-hour challenge.  Mayr himself won a social media contest in 2014, and was paid to travel around the world for a year.  Since, he’s made a living as a content creator and adventurer, proving that winners could very well find internet fame through this contest.

Those at home can watch the action as it happens by following Royal Caribbean and search the hashtag #AdventureSquad on Instagram and Snapchat.  For more information, visit
