Royal Caribbean recently took home an award at the annual InformationWeek 500 Conference for their innovative technology practices. They were also the only cruise line honored in the Hospitality and Travel industry for its guest portal iPad application recently deployed on the 1,804-guest Splendor of the Seas.

Through the iPad app and with the touch of a screen, guests can make dining reservations, access their folio, watch movies, order room service and more.

“We are thrilled to be honored again in the InformationWeek 500,” said Bill Martin, vice president and Chief Information Officer, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. “Royal Caribbean is a firm believer in applying the latest technology aboard our ships to enhance onboard safety; find efficiencies for our crew; and create real value and an enhanced vacation experience for our guests aboard our ships.”
