Why Every Individual Deserves a Relaxing Vacation

Sitting here watching the news and they say– in the past two years some five million people have lost their jobs.  How  disturbing but it brings a good point to us all.  We are not promised tomorrow. Vacations aren’t a want in life, they are a NEED.  Not to mentions schools like University of Minn., have done case studies on how we need vacations to work  efficiently and mentally we need them for our health.

Last week I was sitting in the airport and on my twitter account where I follow some travel agents for deals. I was shocked when I came across a couple of them like Royal Caribbean had a “one day sale” of 109 dollars for a 4 day cruise out of Miami, Fla.  Are you a west coaster? How about 199 dollars for a five day cruise out of San Diego, CA.  Even if you are not a cruiser… trips to Cancun for 379 dollars including airfare and a 5 night stay.

With cruises at rock bottom prices — you need to take advantage of this.

Sure its easy to type this out and talk about it but doing it is a different story, right?  WRONG.  Here are some tips to get you on your way, all you have to do is implement them in your life.

  1. Set up a mini vacation account – an old pickle jar will work. Even if its just ten dollars a week
  2. Book early
  3. Don’t ask to go on vacation, state that your going on vacation.. you deserve it!
  4. Ask off early
  5. Don’t plan your vacation out too much, do what you want to do and when you want to do it
  6. Don’t cut your time off short
  7. Stay off your cell phone

You don’y always have to go out and spend a ton of money to have a nice vacation — be creative.  Take a day trip.

So before you snap at another person, do me a favor… take a vacation!
