St. Kitts is having a wonderful cruise season so far this year. Last week, over 20,000 cruise passengers visited the island destination from 10 ships.
Wednesday alone had four ships in port; the Riviera, Carnival Breeze, Costa Favolosa, and Celebrity Silhouette. The combined total of passengers from those ships was 13,174. The Minister of Tourism for the island nation, Lindsay F.P. Grant said he’ll continue to network with cruise line execs to ensure that this growth continues.
The week before last, over 35,000 passengers visited St. Kitts, including Oasis of the Seas, which brought over 6,000 guests. The island has already received 17 inaugural ship calls for the season, and tomorrow, AIDA Diva and Mein Schiff 3 will call there for the first time as well.
A new pier will begin construction this year, and will meet all the physical requirements for the newest and largest tonnage.
