There’s a New World’s Largest Cruise Ship

Royal Caribbean broke ground today in Miami for their upcoming cruise terminal, Terminal A at Port Miami. The 170,000-square-foot terminal is nicknamed the ‘Crown of Miami’ because of its distinct shape. During the evening, the new terminal will light up to be a part of PortMiami’s night landscape.

New Ship and the Itinerary

The 26th ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, Symphony of the Seas, will be delivered in April 2018 and spend her inaugural summer season exploring the Mediterranean before repositioning to Miami in November 2018 for Caribbean sailings. She will join Allure of the Seas in PortMiami.

World’s Largest Ship

Oasis-class Symphony of the Seas will claim the title of the world’s largest – and most adventure-filled – cruise ship, offering 28 more staterooms than her newest sister ship Harmony of the Seas and 230,000 gross registered tons. Harmony of the Seas is currently 226,900 tons.

Bookings are now open and can be found on Royal Caribbean’s website.
